Sara Cook Pioneering artist whose career spans decades in NYC. Multi-Media performances with Robert Munn of Depthography, founding member of the band Krave, Siren Genii Dance Troupe co-founder. Actress in the film "Submit to me Now" http://www.cookdesigns3d.com.

The above photo was taken on the set of Submit to Me Now, an art film by Richard Kern from 1987. This consisted of a series of vignettes by artists from the Lower East Side in Manhattan including Sara Cook, Lydia Lunch, Nick Zedd, Jim Fetus, Tommy Turner, etc..

As a young adult: Sara Cook was a founding member and Lead Singer of the band Krave who performed in the 1980's and 1990's in Night Clubs including Pyramid Club, Limelight, and CBGB's. Sara co-founded the Siren Genii and School of Fish Belly Dance Troupes with collaborator Julia Aarenson. Together they choreographed, wrote story lines and performed in their own productions. When Sara Cook joined Depthography in 1992, she was asked to perform in moments for the exciting new medium she continues to be a part of with Depthography. Robert Munn has photographed Sara for the Lenticular medium, for 3D Anaglyph film and photography and Polarized Projection film. Sara's work as a artist, dancer, musician, projectionist, performer and specialist orator have showcased as part of Depthography's Multi-Media Art Events. Sara occasionally performs with various artists and dancers for special events.

Multi-Media Performances with Depthography: Sara Cook & Robert Munn of Depthography Group have performed at dozens of venues spanning the last few decades. Their performances have included 3D projection, music, dance, visual artwork and historical speaking roles in topics that have included the history of 3D, Worlds Fairs in 3D, World War 1 in 3D, 3D Viewmaster Television Series, etc. Below is the promo artwork from the Film Anthology Archives event they performed.

Sara's most recent stage acting and theater production roles were with Ruby Lynn Reyner for her play "Singin' in the ER". Sara worked as Stage Manager, Casting Assistant, and IT Specialist and Sara's most recent Acting Role was Narrator and Background Vocalist. These series of readings showcased at The Gershwin Hotel in March 19, 2013 and at Theater for the New City on April 30, 2018.

This year, 2019, Sara Cook helped Ruby Lynn Reyner ramp up her reading to a full production play, Singin' in the ER, whos run can be seen as an Equity Showcase at Theater for the New City in the East Village, NYC. Sara's contributions to this production include her acting, back up vocals, group choreography, and Assistant Director.

Early Acting Career: Sara Cook's Artist Career includes Acting and Production Work. Sara studied Improvizational Acting as a child as Sara was part of Mary Michael Stock's Acting Group who performed in a series of original productions that took place in Park Slope Brooklyn, New York in the 1970's. After these performances, Sara played Dorothy in 2 different productions of the Wizard of Oz. Sara also played the role of the goddess Hippolyta in a school play and then in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Sara played Dancer Babette in Raggedy Ann and Andy at Summer Camp. In high school, Sara joined the Edward R. Murrow Stage Crew where she helped paint backdrops for school productions.
